Hi, I’m Alex.

I am a counsellor & psychotherapist, which means I help people make sense of what is troubling them and help them find ways to move forward that make sense to them.

People find my sessions helpful in navigating their unique circumstances and problems because I really listen to understand what they are going through, and get to the heart of what is troubling them.

My lived experience and professional training combined has helped me to meet people where they are at and help open the door to the possibility of living differently, feeling different in the world, and getting to know themselves in a profoundly new way.

If you are you experiencing any of the following, therapy can help:

  • Feeling like you can’t be yourself around others

  • People-pleasing and not getting your own needs met

  • Relationship anxiety (or anxiety in general)

  • Difficulty setting boundaries

  • Fearful of conflict

  • Self-aware but stuck overanalysing emotions

  • Feeling constantly overwhelmed and exhausted

  • Depression & challenging mood changes

  • Poor self-esteem & confidence

  • Disconnection & isolation

  • A general lack of joy and motivation

Integrative, tailored treatment

My work draws from an integrative framework, bringing together contemporary psychotherapy and depth-oriented approaches. Rather than adhering to one method, I tailor therapy to each person.

Trauma-informed and evidence-based methods

I integrate safety, collaboration, and empowerment, with evidence-based methods that support both emotional healing and sustainable change.

  • The Conversational Model (a relational, emotion-focused psychotherapy grounded in attunement and self-reflection)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Theory, to help make sense of emotional patterns and relationship dynamics

  • Gestalt and Experiential approaches, which emphasise awareness, presence, and working with what’s happening in the moment

  • Cognitive and Behavioural methods (CBT, ACT) when practical strategies or structure are helpful for managing anxiety, mood, or decision-making

  • Depth and integrative perspectives, drawing on developmental, psychodynamic, and existential thought to explore the meaning behind symptoms and experiences
